Robinhood, the American fintech giant known for its commission-free trading, has launched its advanced desktop trading platform, Robinhood Legend, in the United Kingdom.
The platform, tailored to meet the needs of active traders, offers an intuitive interface with a high level of customization, according to the company’s website.
Jordan Sinclair, President of Robinhood UK, emphasized the firm’s ambition to become the leading platform for active investors worldwide.
“Robinhood Legend gives UK investors the speed, precision, and customisation they need to stay ahead of the curve — with a platform that’s powerful, intuitive, beautifully designed, and free. It’s the new standard for modern trading in the UK, and still only the beginning of what we’re building here,” he stated.
Why the platform Is launching now
Robinhood’s decision to roll out Legend in the UK comes in response to strong demand from local users who closely follow the company’s developments in the U.S.
According to internal research, around 11 million UK residents currently trade using desktop platforms, yet only a third of them are satisfied with their current solutions. The most frequent complaints include limited customization and complex navigation.
Key features and benefits of Robinhood Legend
Robinhood Legend aims to solve these issues by offering a simple setup process, flexible layout options, and synced widgets that update across multiple tabs and monitors. Traders can customize their workspace within seconds or choose from pre-designed templates suited to various strategies.
The platform is free to use and allows trading of over 6,000 U.S. stocks with no commission or foreign exchange fees. Options trading is also available at $0.50 per contract, with standard exchange fees applying. Margin trading is supported with competitive rates.
Advanced charting tools and rollout
One of Legend’s standout features is its advanced charting suite, which includes 10 chart types — such as candlestick and Heikin Ashi — up to eight charts per window, and over 80 technical indicators, including Bollinger Bands, VWAP, and Ichimoku Cloud. Drawing tools like trend lines, horizontal lines, and Fibonacci retracements are also available.
The platform delivers real-time market data with updates down to the tick and supports custom time intervals ranging from daily to minute- and second-level granularity. Users can execute trades directly from charts or watchlists, enabling fast and efficient order management.
Robinhood Legend is currently rolling out and will be fully available to UK customers in the coming weeks.
Notably, Robinhood recently announced plans to acquire Canadian crypto platform WonderFi for 250 million Canadian dollars, reinforcing its growing commitment to digital assets.
