Broker eToro announced that it has received approval of its application for registration as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

The broker will now be able to offer regulated crypto services in the EU under one organization, eToro (Europe) Digital Assets Ltd., once the MiCA requirements come into effect.

In addition, eToro is already registered with CySEC as an investment services representative in the EU and also has a PSAN registration in France, according to Coins.fr

"This registration signals that we are 100% ready to enter the new era of cryptocurrencies once MiCA comes into effect next year. As a global company regulated in various markets around the world, we are very much looking forward to the increased certainty and security that MiCA will offer both consumers and reputable companies in the industry," said Hedva Behr, Deputy CEO of eToro.

"Europe is an extremely important region for eToro; it is where the majority of our users reside, and we want to continue to offer European investors direct access to a wide range of crypto assets as part of a diversified portfolio. This new CySEC registration will make it much easier for us to achieve this goal in post-MiCA Europe, allowing us to create a more streamlined and efficient offering for European investors looking to trade crypto assets," she added.
