Interactive Brokers has updated its innovative IBKR Desktop trading platform to version 0.04.
With the update, users of the platform will be able to take advantage of a new feature that allows for quick entry of orders created based on set parameters.
Rapid Order Entry is available from charts, Watchlists, Portfolio, and the Quote Panel, FNG said.
To enter the Rapid Order Entry panel, users need to click on Buy or Sell. Once the panel opens, it is required to enter parameters and submit the order.
The panel is closed by repeatedly pressing the Buy or Sell buttons.
Interactive Brokers points out that at the moment, Rapid Order Entry is supported only for orders with SMART routing.
In addition, version 0.04 introduced basic hotkeys, which include such platform controls as cut and paste, delete and clear rows, show contract description, instrument search, and a number of other functions.
Also, the functionality of the IBKR Desktop option chain has been improved; it can now be displayed as a list, and the function of mirroring columns has been introduced.
It is worth noting that List View displays all options separated by expiration date.
