The brokerage eToro has announced that it will not be renewing its sponsorship agreement with Rugby Australia at the end of this year. The partnership between the broker and Rugby Australia has been in place for three years and has been mutually beneficial, according to the parties.
eToro successfully sponsored the Tri Nations 2020, an international rugby tournament featuring teams from Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand. The parties have since decided to continue their cooperation on a long-term basis, Brokersview reported.
Broker eToro has signed a three-year deal with Rugby Australia in 2021 and has been granted the rights to be present as a sponsor at various rugby events. In addition, the eToro logo was placed on the team's uniforms.
On June 22, 2023, eToro signed a sponsorship deal with Premiership Rugby and last month also became a sponsor of the Australian Professional Football League (APL).
eToro is looking to expand its presence in sports sponsorship and reach new audiences. eToro actively sponsors sporting events around the world and hopes to increase its brand awareness in the retail industry. It has partnered with the English Premier League, the German Bundesliga, the Spanish ACB League, and the UK Rugby Premier League.
