Broker Vantage Markets has announced an update to its CFD products offering on indices to make them more cost-effective for traders.

The updated product lineup will feature a wider range of indices, starting with the Straits Times Index (STI) and the Taiwan Stock Exchange Index (TWSE), which are highly popular and representative of their respective stock exchanges, PRNewswire reported.

"Vantage indices CFDs have been very well received due to their key competitive advantages," Vantage Markets said.

With the update, traders will receive:

• Leverage up to 500:1. This will allow Vantage Markets clients to increase their trading potential and control even larger positions with less capital investment.

• Tighter spreads. Allowing clients to potentially cut their trading costs by 15%. In addition, Vantage offers competitive discounts for Introducing Brokers (IBs).

• A wide range of markets. Allows traders to explore the possibilities of other instruments from a single account, as well as more trading and risk management strategies.

• Negative balance protection. Designed to protect traders from losses that exceed the balance of their deposit accounts when trading under normal market conditions.

"Expanding our CFD products offering on indices reinforces our commitment to providing traders with a robust and comprehensive trading experience that differentiates us from our competitors," said Marc Despallieres, Vantage's Chief Strategy and Trading Officer.

Earlier, the broker unveiled the second episode of "The Vantage View" series on closed-loop economics. In it, Dr. Ramakrishna discusses how individual investors can invest in the circular economy and make a difference with their dollars.

The Vantage View videos are produced with support from Bloomberg Media Studios and highlight key trends in politics and economics that are shaping the financial world.
