German broker Nextmarkets announced that it has entered into an agreement with Apeiron Investment Group for a new round of financing.

The agreement was announced after the broker's two major shareholders, FinLab and Samara Asset Group, with stakes of 34.36% and 37.68%, respectively, announced a few weeks ago that Nextmarkets was ready to begin the liquidation process.

The parties did not disclose the amount of the investment, but according to information posted on the FNG news platform, the amount varies around 10 million euros.

Apeiron Investment Group is a private equity firm that invested in Nextmarkets through Apeiron's Cryptology Asset Group.

"I am delighted that Apeiron Investment Group shares our belief that the global retail trading sector offers enormous growth potential," said Manuel Hayden, CEO of Nextmarkets.

Nextmarkets was established in 2014. The broker is a member of the Investor Compensation Scheme and keeps its clients' money in major European banks.
