Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has extended trading hours for US Treasury securities.

Interactive Brokers' traders in all countries now have expanded access to US bond trading. Trading will be available 22 hours per day, FNG said.

The trading session opens at 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and closes at 5 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) the following day. During Eastern Standard Time (EST), the market is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.

Previously, trading was only available for nine hours per day, so this significant expansion of trading opportunities for Interactive Brokers' clients will allow them to trade US Treasury securities during the US session.

This gives clients a significant trading advantage by allowing them to react to both US and global economic news in a timely manner, regardless of time or location.

Thomas Frank, Executive Vice President of Interactive Brokers, commented, "The extension of our US Treasury trading hours represents a significant enhancement to our offering. It is part of our policy to expand our fixed income offering with new coverage, products, venues, and liquidity. We are committed to providing our clients with the most flexible trading environment possible. Our clients are located in over 200 countries across multiple geographies, so it is important that we meet their needs and provide them with the ability to trade on a schedule that suits them. This is extremely important in a market like the US Treasury market."

By extending trading hours, Interactive Brokers has increased the availability of these tools so that traders can more effectively manage their trading and portfolios. The increased capabilities will allow for more profitable trades and better risk management.

Interactive Brokers' list of instruments includes a wide range of bonds, with over 1 million Treasury, government, corporate, US, and non-US bonds represented. IBKR provides access to these instruments with no markups or spreads, and fees are competitive and transparent.

Interactive Brokers clients also benefit from free access to the powerful IBKR Bond Marketplace search tool, which allows them to select and evaluate bonds by type, maturity, yield, and other criteria to optimize their investments for their specific needs.

Interactive Brokers is one of the most prominent investment firms in the United States and has been in business since 1977. The broker offers trading in currency pairs, but its main instruments are stocks, CFDs, indices, metals, ETFs, futures, and other stock market assets. Interactive Brokers focuses on working with professional market participants. Investors from the USA and Canada are the company's main target group.
