Stripe, a provider of financial services and business software, and Uber Technologies have announced an expansion of their partnership.

The new partnership agreement will allow Uber to significantly expand the range of applications for Stripe's payment platform, reducing costs and introducing additional methods for users to pay through Uber Rides and Uber Eats.

According to the FNG portal, Uber will use Link and Stripe Financial Connections to enable its users to link financial accounts quickly, efficiently and securely. This way, the company's clients can easily use their stored banking information to make purchases with Uber.

Uber also uses Stripe software to process bank card transactions at eftpos in Australia and JCB in Japan.

Stripe is Uber's primary payment partner in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Malta, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Japan and the United States.

It was previously reported that Stripe has expanded the functionality of its revenue and finance automation suite.

Stripe is a leader in the payments market, but unlike most of its competitors, it only offers financial services and e-commerce software for businesses. Stripe provides the ability to accept electronic payments in 135 currencies from any point in the world and offers a wide range of solutions to simplify tax reporting, dynamic KYC/AML verification and fraud protection.
