AMarkets takes MT4 platform offline for optimization

Broker AMarkets has announced that its MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform will undergo scheduled maintenance on Saturday, November 2, 2024. During this time, the platform will be temporarily unavailable from 00:30 to 09:00 EET (GMT +2) as AMarkets optimizes its server to improve performance and reliability.
According to AMarkets, cryptocurrency trading on the MetaTrader 4 platform will be unavailable during the maintenance period. However, traders will still be able to access their accounts to check balances, review past trades, and manage funds. AMarkets advises all clients to consider this downtime when planning their trading strategies, especially those trading in the volatile cryptocurrency markets.
To prevent unforeseen losses, AMarkets recommends that traders ensure sufficient funds in their accounts before the maintenance period begins or, alternatively, refrain from holding open cryptocurrency positions on MT4 until the platform is back online. The company clarified that pending orders set to open or close positions will not be executed during the downtime. Consequently, any fluctuations in cryptocurrency prices will not automatically trigger orders during this period. For this reason, traders are strongly encouraged to carefully assess their positions to avoid any adverse outcomes.
Importantly, AMarkets noted that cryptocurrency trading will continue to be available on the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform throughout the maintenance period. This option allows users who rely on cryptocurrency trading to easily switch to MT5, ensuring uninterrupted trading activity. The company encourages clients to use MT5 as an alternative, particularly for those needing to maintain active positions.
AMarkets emphasized that the maintenance aims to enhance server performance and provide a more efficient platform experience for MT4 users. Recognizing that temporary downtimes may cause inconvenience, the company issued an apology and assured clients of its commitment to improving their trading experience.
Clients can reach out for assistance or clarification through AMarkets' various communication channels. The company's support team remains available to address any issues traders may encounter before or during the maintenance window.
For traders who rely on MT4, understanding these temporary adjustments and preparing for potential impacts is essential.
In related news, the company recently announced its ambitious plans to expand its presence in India, a key emerging market in the financial trading sector.
