The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has added cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp to its list of registered companies.

Bitstamp was added to the FCA's register on June 13. This means that the cryptocurrency exchange ensures compliance with the FCA's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements.

Also, Interactive Brokers, which initially offered services in the Forex and currency markets and later gave its clients access to 24/7 trading of digital assets, was listed by the FCA on June 12.

Previously, we wrote that Ripple had acquired shares in cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp, originally owned by Pantera, as part of its program to expand its coverage.

The Bitstamp exchange was founded in 2011 and provides its clients with cryptocurrency trading and exchange services, TradeView software, in-depth information, and analytics. One of the features of the exchange is a favorable fee policy for clients with large trading volumes.
