Binance Pay integrates with Pix to enable crypto payments in Brazil

Binance Pay integrates with Pix to enable crypto payments in Brazil Binance Pay now supports Pix

Binance takes a major step toward expanding crypto payment solutions in Latin America by officially integrating Binance Pay with Pix — Brazil’s national instant payment system.

The new feature enables users to seamlessly convert cryptocurrency into Brazilian reais (BRL) and make instant transfers using the country’s most popular payment network — all within the Binance app.

This marks the first time Binance Pay has been integrated with a national real-time payment system, highlighting the company’s strategic focus on adapting global technologies to local market needs.

Over 100 cryptocurrencies now transferable via Pix

Thanks to the new feature, Binance users in Brazil can choose from more than 100 supported cryptocurrencies, instantly convert them to BRL, and send payments to individuals or businesses through Pix. The entire process is fully embedded within the Binance app and mimics traditional payment flows — fast, intuitive, and user-friendly.

Binance emphasizes that this development represents a fundamental shift in the usability of cryptocurrencies. Digital assets are no longer confined to exchanges — they can now be used in daily life through a trusted platform like Pix, relied upon by millions of Brazilians.

Why Pix?

Since its launch in 2020 by the Central Bank of Brazil, Pix has dramatically reshaped the country’s payment landscape. Today, more than 174 million individuals and businesses use the system, which processes about 6 billion transactions per month. Recent data shows that 76% of Brazil’s population uses Pix — surpassing both debit cards and cash in popularity.

As Brazil ranks sixth in the world by cryptocurrency market size, the potential for innovation is enormous. According to Binance, 17% of Brazilians hold digital assets, and 42% of investors consider crypto to be a viable alternative to stocks and mutual funds.

Binance leadership on the launch

“This marks a revolutionary step forward,” said Richard Teng, CEO of Binance. “Integrating Pix with Binance Pay combines the efficiency of Brazil’s most trusted payment network with our global crypto infrastructure.”

Guilherme Nazar, Binance’s Vice President for Latin America, added: “This integration demonstrates Binance’s commitment to aligning global products with local user needs.”

It’s worth noting that earlier, Binance dismissed a $1.76 billion lawsuit filed by the FTX estate, stating that the defunct exchange was unjustly shifting blame for its collapse.
