Cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx has announced that it has restored more than 50% of its wallet security system after being hacked and is now preparing to open access to the withdrawal function.

The exchange intends to resume withdrawal services within 7 business days. In addition, CoinEx stated that the main condition for launching this feature is 100% security of users' assets, which it intends to ensure.

The company is also developing compensation measures for low-turnover users affected by the hack, Coincu reported.

It is worth noting that during the recent attack, which is believed to have been carried out by hackers from North Korea, about $70 million was stolen. The exchange immediately issued a message to its users, pointing out that the stolen funds represent only a fraction of its total assets.

The exchange also acknowledged that its security system needed to be upgraded. The company extended a deal to the hackers, offering a "generous reward for finding security flaws" in exchange for the return of the stolen assets and also offering plans for further cooperation.

All of these actions indicate that the exchange is making a concerted effort to restore its security system and the trust of its clients.
