Robinhood launches tokenized stocks and perpetuals in EU

Robinhood launches tokenized stocks and perpetuals in EU Robinhood boosts EU crypto platform

Robinhood, the American fintech giant, has announced a major expansion of its cryptocurrency and investment services during its “To Catch a Token” event in Cannes, France. The company unveiled a range of new products, including tokenized U.S. equities, crypto perpetual futures, and staking—marking a strategic step toward making global investing more accessible and crypto-oriented.

According to a statement published on the Robinhood website, European users can now access over 200 tokenized stocks and ETFs through Robinhood Stock Tokens. These tokens provide exposure to U.S. assets with no commission or markup from Robinhood, offer dividend support, and enable 24/5 trading. With this launch, Robinhood’s crypto app in the EU is transforming into an all-in-one blockchain-powered investment platform.

Blockchain infrastructure and tools for active traders

Initially, the stock tokens are being issued on the Arbitrum network. However, support will later shift to Robinhood’s proprietary Layer 2 blockchain, purpose-built for tokenizing real-world assets. This new blockchain will offer faster transaction processing, low fees, and self-custody features.

For advanced traders, Robinhood is rolling out crypto perpetual futures in the EU with up to 3x leverage and a simplified trading interface. All eligible users will gain access by the end of summer 2025, with trades executed via the Bitstamp exchange.

At the same time, Robinhood is launching crypto staking in the U.S., starting with Ethereum and Solana. Customers in the EU and EEA already have access to this feature, which allows users to earn rewards by supporting blockchain network operations.

Innovation, convenience, and global ambitions

To further enhance user engagement, Robinhood is introducing deposit bonuses (Instant Boost), a crypto-backed credit card with cashback, and Cortex—an AI-powered investment assistant set to launch later this year. Additional upgrades include smart order routing, the ability to select specific tax lots, and advanced charting tools for mobile devices.

“Our latest offerings lay the groundwork for crypto to become the backbone of the global financial system,” said Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev.

Robinhood’s expanded product lineup underscores the company’s ambition to lead the convergence of blockchain technology and traditional finance across both the U.S. and European markets.

Previously, Robinhood also broadened its crypto derivatives offering with the launch of micro futures contracts for Bitcoin (BTC), Solana (SOL), and XRP.
