Cristiano Ronaldo partners with Binance for skill-based collectibles

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and global cryptocurrency exchange Binance have announced the launch of "ForeverSkills," a set of blockchain-based digital collectibles that showcase seven of Ronaldo’s iconic football moves.
This marks the fifth collaboration between Ronaldo and Binance, pushing the boundaries of fan engagement through interactive, skill-driven content, according to Cointelegraph.
Fans Move Beyond Spectatorship
Unlike traditional highlight reels, ForeverSkills invites fans to step beyond passive viewing and into active participation. Fans are encouraged to attempt Ronaldo’s signature moves and showcase their own football skills online via the “Proof of Skills” challenge.
Participants can upload videos of themselves performing Ronaldo’s techniques on TikTok or Instagram, with 77 winners handpicked by Ronaldo and Binance to receive exclusive Proof of Skill collectibles.
Beyond digital bragging rights, two lucky participants—one Proof of Skill holder and one premium collectible owner—will be selected to attend an in-person masterclass with Ronaldo himself.
Exclusive Content and Limited Collectibles
The ForeverSkills collection offers two tiers of participation. Free collectibles, available from December 9 to December 18, grant holders access to select tutorials where Ronaldo breaks down his famous moves in detail. Meanwhile, premium collectibles, limited to 777 units and priced at $77 each, offer access to all seven tutorials and a digital video masterclass.
Sarah Dale, Binance’s head of global partnerships, described the initiative as "a unique connection between the digital and physical worlds," enabling fans to engage with Ronaldo in ways never before possible.
Ronaldo sees ForeverSkills as an opportunity to inspire the next generation. “This collection is about elevating the fan experience,” he said. “It’s about pushing limits, learning new skills, and sharing my legacy.”
With this initiative, Binance and Ronaldo aim to bridge the gap between fandom and participation, fostering a new era of interactive sports engagement.
According to DefiLlama, Binance recently saw record success in 2024, with over $24 billion in user deposits. This surge was driven by a growing user base of 250 million and boosted by global crypto adoption and the launch of U.S. Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
