Bitcoin ETF inflows push total assets above $158 billion

Bitcoin ETF inflows push total assets above $158 billion BlackRock IBIT dominates as Bitcoin ETF inflows hit records

Amid Bitcoin’s rapid price growth, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have reached a new all-time high, with a combined net asset value surpassing $158 billion.

According to SoSoValue data, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw combined inflows of $2.21 billion on Thursday and Friday—$1.18 billion on Thursday and $1.03 billion on Friday. This two-day surge marked the highest inflow over such a period since the ETFs began trading in January 2024.

Industry leader BlackRock’s IBIT ETF received $953.5 million on Friday alone—accounting for roughly 95% of the day’s total inflow. No other ETF attracted more than $25 million that day.

The strong inflows contributed to the total net asset value of all funds reaching a new peak: $158.03 billion, according to The Block. IBIT remains the dominant fund, managing over $80 billion—more than double the $36.4 billion managed by the second-largest fund, Fidelity’s FBTC.

“This trend reflects growing confidence in BTC as a regulated long-term asset, comparable to gold,” said Vincent Liu, CTO at Kronos Research, in a comment to The Block.

He added that institutional demand could remain strong unless macroeconomic uncertainty—particularly around the July 15 CPI data—triggers profit-taking and slows the trend.

Ethereum ETFs near record highs

Ethereum ETFs, launched less than a year ago, have not yet reached an all-time high in total net asset value comparable to Bitcoin ETFs.

Over the last six days, ETH ETFs saw inflows totaling approximately $1.057 billion. Total net assets across ETH funds now stand at $13.5 billion—just short of the $14.3 billion record set in mid-December last year.

BlackRock also operates the largest spot ETH ETF on the market. Its ETHA fund holds $6.14 billion in assets under management—over $1 billion more than the combined assets of Grayscale’s ETHE ($3.44B) and ETH ($1.68B), which together amount to $5.12 billion.
