Stripe, the world's largest provider of financial services and e-commerce software, and Google Workspace have partnered to enhance Google Calendar functionality.

The new feature, based on Stripe Connect and Stripe Checkout, allows clients to pay directly when booking on the Google Calendar page, according to news portal FNG.

"Stripe makes it incredibly easy to accept payments directly from Google Calendar, so customers can complete bookings and make payments in seconds," said Ilya Brown, Vice President of Product Management at Google Workspace.

In 2021, Google Workspace launched a scheduling function for individual subscribers that simplifies time management by integrating shared booking pages with existing schedules in Google Calendar. This feature automatically checks user availability and allows users to set buffers or limits on daily appointments.

Businesses can now connect their Stripe account, set a price, and then offer their clients the ability to book and pay in Google Calendar. Users visit their booking page, select the desired time, and enter their payment details.

"Making appointment booking and payment ridiculously easy for customers means less administrative work and more revenue for businesses," said Stripe's Mike Clayville.
