Broker TeleTrade announced changes in the CH20 index trading schedule due to the Swiss National Day.
Swiss National Day has been celebrated on the first day of August since 1291, when, according to legend, the Swiss Confederation was founded. According to the story, it was on this day that the three cantons of Schwyz, Uri, and Unterwalden made a promise to help each other in the fight against external enemies.
There will be no trading in the CH20 index or Swiss stocks on August 1, 2023, TeleTrade said.
The broker warns that further adjustments to the trading schedule may be made without prior notice.
