Irish-American company Stripe, the world's largest provider of financial services and e-commerce software, announced the launch of a platform for converting fiat money into digital assets.

Stripe's new onramp platform makes it much easier for Web3 companies and U.S. clients to purchase cryptocurrencies, allowing them to buy digital assets exactly when they need them.

According to information on Stripe's website, the app allows businesses interested in offering cryptocurrency and blockchain-enabled services to solve the problem of a cold start when their clients don't have cryptocurrency in their wallets to complete transactions.

Users and developers can now choose between two ways to use the service. The first allows them to embed a Stripe payment widget on a website, while the second redirects clients to a separate page.

The onramp platform is primarily aimed at Web3 companies that want to fully customize branding and client interaction, and the new Stripe-hosted feature gives users an even easier way to get started, according to Stripe.

The platform was created with the participation of Web3 companies Brave, Safe, 1inch and Lens Protocol, which are also integrating Onramp Stripe into their services.

It was previously reported that Stripe and Uber are expanding their partnership to improve payment processing and reduce costs.

Stripe provides the ability to accept electronic payments in 135 currencies from anywhere in the world and offers a wide range of solutions to simplify tax reporting, dynamic KYC/AML verification and fraud protection.
