AT Capital Group Limited, the fintech company that owns the ATFX brand, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Pacific China Friendship Association (PCFA) and the Kingdom of Tonga.

The Memorandum lays the groundwork for exploring investment opportunities in the economies of the Pacific Island countries. These initiatives aim to improve the efficiency of the regional financial sector and support development projects in the areas of investment, trade opportunities, and infrastructure.

According to ATFX, the collaboration aims to raise the standards of the Pacific financial system to a higher level, which will contribute to the development of green energy, poverty alleviation, and climate change mitigation. The alliance also aims to support the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent program, which emphasizes unity and solidarity among Pacific island nations.

"We see tremendous untapped potential in Tonga and other South Pacific countries. We believe these activities will contribute to the free and peaceful development of the Pacific region while supporting a resilient Pacific with peace, harmony, security, social inclusion, and prosperity for all," said Joe Li, Chairman of AT Capital, at the signing of the MOU.

"We are more than pleased to have forged an alliance with AT Capital. The PCFA will lend its full support for the benefit of the people of Tonga and the South Pacific Island Countries; and will continue to be involved in supporting and contributing to the economic development of the Pacific in various industries such as tourism, fisheries, and agriculture," said Hiria Ottino, President of the PCFA.
