Fact Check by TU: Believe Facts, Not Headlines
Today’s information landscape is flooded with dozens, and sometimes hundreds, of messages concerning trading, investments, and financial markets every day. Unfortunately, not all of them are truthful. Fakes, manipulations, and unverified rumors spread rapidly, influencing investor behavior and creating a distorted picture of events.
Fact Check by TU is a specially created department within Traders Union to identify and debunk false or misleading information related to brokers, trading platforms, economic events, and trends.
Why is this important?
Sound financial decisions rely on reliable information. A single closure rumor can trigger panic. Fake news about “official” bans or “revolutionary strategies” can cause losses. The mission of Fact Check by TU is to protect traders from disinformation risks and foster an honest financial market.
What do we do?
- 1 We verify media, blog, Telegram, and other platform statements.
- 2 We determine information reliability.
- 3 We publish detailed rebuttals of falsehoods.
- 4 We explain information origins and unreliability.
- 5 We explain how traders can distinguish truth from manipulation.
Our Methods: How we check facts
We use a comprehensive approach that includes:
How we publish rebuttals
If information is deemed fake or misleading, we publish a rebuttal on the Fact Check by TU page, which includes:
- The quote or essence of the fake information
- The source (if available)
- A detailed explanation of why it is untrue
- Our conclusion: Fake / Partially false information / Manipulation
