E8 Markets is one of the best proprietary trading firms in the financial market with the TU Overall Score of 8.69 out of 10. Having reviewed trading opportunities offered by the company and reviews posted by E8 Markets clients on our website, Traders Union expert Anton Kharitonov believes he can recommend this company as the majority of reviews prove that the firm’s clients are fully satisfied with the company.

The E8 Markets (E8 Funding) proprietary trading firm differs from its competitors in several ways. The initial fees are not high, profit split and drawdown levels are customzable. The main benefits of E8 Funding are a wide range of assets, scalable balances, and the absence of trading limits. For some instruments, the maximum leverage is 1:50.

Brief Look at E8 Markets

The E8 Markets (E8 Funding) proprietary trading firm is registered in the USA and the Czech Republic and works with traders in most countries without regional restrictions. It offers accounts with balances from $5,000 to $400,000 that can be increased to $1 million. There are no monthly fees, only initial fees from $33 (determined by the account type) are charged. Trading instruments include currency pairs, stocks, indices, energies, metals, and cryptocurrencies. Clients can trade on weekends, use advisors and bots, apply hedging, and copy trades. Trading is performed on Match-Trader and MetaTrader 5 (including the mobile versions). Partners of E8 Funding keep up to 100% of their net profits. The challenge is taken on virtual accounts in one, two or three phases (depending on the account type) and has no time limits. After the challenge, the limits are standard: 8% overall and 4% daily drawdowns, without mandatory profit targets.

Advantages of trading with E8 Markets:
  • three account types for traders with different goals, plus several initial fee options;
  • no monthly payments or withdrawal fees, only reimbursable initial fees;
  • traders can apply any strategy or style, trade at weekends, and use advisors;
  • the firm provides multifeatured trading platforms: МetaTrader 5 and Match-Trader;
  • attainable challenge objectives;
  • scalable accounts allow you to grow your balance up to $1 million.
Disadvantages of E8 Markets:
  • many traders prefer to use TradingView, NinjaTrader, R|Trader, or other popular platforms, but if they want to work with E8 Funding, they will have to get used to МetaТrader 5 and Match-Trader;
  • the firm’s tech support responds by email and has no call center. Live chat is only active during certain hours;
  • profit cannot be withdrawn more often than once in 14 days.

TU Expert Advice

Anton Kharitonov

Financial expert and analyst at Traders Union

The company is headquartered in Dallas (USA) and Prague (Czech Republic). Its founders are professional traders and investors who know exactly what to offer to the people that want to trade someone else’s capital. E8 Funding lets its partners choose accounts in the most flexible way. There are three types of evaluation challenges with several balance options in each. The maximum amount available from the start is $400,000. The maximum balance in prospect is $1 million. The initial fees start at $33. The profit target and drawdown values are standard, there is no point in mentioning them. Clients trade without restrictions on earnings or time and can apply hedging, trade at night and at weekends, use advisors, and copy trades.

E8 Funding does not have a call center, which is a serious drawback. On the bright side, there is a live chat that is active at weekends as well, but during limited hours (see the website).

The E8 Funding website operates steadily. TU had no problems during the testing of the user account. The firm’s partners trade on two platforms: Match-Trader and MetaTrader 5. These platforms quite popular, although many people are used to analogs like R|Trader, cTrader, or TradingView. Trading E8 Funding’s funds effectively requires you to study the MT interface carefully because it has some unique features. In other respects, TU did not notice anything special. The firm offers up to 1:50 leverage, an economic calendar, and a leaderboard. It also offers access to cryptocurrencies, energies, and metals markets, not just to the stock, indices, and Forex markets like most other prop trading firms.

Trade with this prop-trading company, if:
  • You are able to handle the pressure of trading live capital, as E8 Funding specifically seeks traders who can remain composed and make rational decisions even in high-pressure situations.
  • You are looking for attainable challenge objectives, as E8 Funding sets realistic profit targets for its traders, with achievable goals.
Do not trade with this prop-trading company, if:
  • You require immediate assistance or prefer to communicate with support through channels like live chat or phone. E8 Funding's reliance on email for tech support may not meet your needs.
  • You prefer more frequent access to your profits or need flexibility in managing your funds, as withdrawal limitations set by the firm may not align with your trading preferences.

E8 Markets Summary

Your capital is at risk. CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. A high percentage of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Best trading of all

nothing

Reaching out to the chat with any questions is pointless. The site is connected to a bot that provides links to FAQ articles, which of course, only offer general answers. When I indicate that I haven't found the answer to my specific question, the bot says that support will reply to me in just a few hours. :(

There are profitable programs for experienced traders

Support service does not always give clear answers

They have an interesting partnership model... There's a warning on the website – all accounts are demo. I asked support for clarification: after passing the evaluation, will the account be demo or real? If it's demo, then where does the real income come from? After some effort, I finally got an interesting response from support. I understood it this way: the trader still trades on a demo account, but the company pays them real income. And some of their signals are used to create a "trader portfolio." So, if I make a profit on, say, 10 trades, they copy 2 of them, but with some kind of leverage? Otherwise, how will they pay me the income on the remaining 8 trades? In the end, I couldn't get more clarity from support. Just sharing my experience.

No monthly payments or withdrawal fees, only reimbursable initial fees

Nothing

The trading platform is quite specific. At least, it took me a long time to figure it out. I found it inconvenient due to the layout of the trading tools. But maybe it's just unfamiliar, and others might actually like it. From what I liked in E8 Markets - a wide choice of payment systems and small commissions both when trading and when transferring money.

E8 Markets (E8 Funding) offers trading with a starting deposit from $33 and charges no fees for withdrawals or monthly payments. The maximum leverage is 1:50, and profits are shared with traders at a rate of up to 100%. On the downside, there is no direct connection with liquidity providers and limited regional protection for traders. That said, the broker provides convenient conditions for testing strategies with no time limits, including copy trading, bot trading, and the use of hedging.

E8 Markets offers three types of accounts with different initial fees ranging from $33 to $2,064. Starting balances vary from $5,000 to $400,000, with the potential to scale up to $1 million. The platforms supported are MetaTrader 5 and Match-Trader. There are no restrictions on strategies — expert advisors are allowed, weekend trading is permitted, and hedging is supported. However, withdrawals can only be made once every 14 days, and customer support is limited in hours and lacks a call center. The broker provides access to trading cryptocurrencies, metals, stocks, indices, and energy assets with leverage of up to 1:50.

The variety of accounts and scalability up to $1 million are appealing, especially with the wide range of assets and platforms available. The allowance for hedging and advisors is a clear advantage, not always found with prop firms. However, the limited support hours and the two-week withdrawal period may cause inconvenience for some users, particularly those trading in high volatility.

e8 funding is not very quick to explain its actions to traders. And also the company doesn’t worry about the platform performing very poorly. It seems that the company does not need traders, but needs their money.

Earlier, everything was fine. But small problems in e8 funding began to appear occasionally. For example, yesterday, the platform froze with no quotes. This freeze didn't last long. but still it was unpleasant. Support is in touch. Any question is discussed.

Regulation and safety

Is E8 Funding a Scam or Legit?

Information

It has already been explained why proprietary trading firms don’t need licenses from international regulators. Such licenses are necessary for liquidity providers. Only this security criterion is important for traders because if a liquidity provider is reliable, a prop firm’s operation should not be questioned. In this case, TU is talking about first-level providers that have their own MT servers and all necessary guarantees.

Advantages

  • Traders can contact the prop firm’s legal department

Disadvantages

  • Traders cannot contact liquidity providers directly
  • Absence of regional protection mechanisms

Investment Options

Proprietary trading firms do not usually offer access to traditional types of investing, such as cryptocurrency staking or buying dividend stocks. Nevertheless, many of them have affiliate (referral) programs that allow clients to get a fixed percentage of invited users’ profits or one-time payments. Participation in affiliate programs cannot be called investing or passive earning because getting significant payouts in such a way requires traders to have popular blogs and social media accounts and communicate frequently with colleagues online.

Important!

If you are a large investor and plan on investments over $10,000, contact us at vip-invest@tradersunion.com or by the feedback form on our website. Our professional team will take you through all the intricacies of the deal and all the steps from signing up to withdrawal of profits.

E8 Funding does not offer a referral program, and here is why:

Referral programs are meant to increase the influx of new traders. But if a firm already has a lot of partners, it would make little sense to incentivize registration, and that’s the reason why. E8 Funding does not publish data on the number of its partners, but, undoubtedly, it has dozens of thousands of successful traders worldwide.

Customer support

Information

E8 Markets (E8 Funding) operation would not be possible without tech support because, despite all the steadiness and transparency, partners have many questions. To solve their problems, traders can open the FAQs section, send emails, or address the managers via the live chat.

Advantages

  • You don’t need to be a registered user to exchange messages in chat
  • During business hours, the managers respond via chat promptly

Disadvantages

  • After hours, you won’t get a reply via chat
  • Sometimes, you have to wait a long time for a response by email

To ask a question to E8 Funding’s client support:

  • send an email to;

  • address a manager through the chat that is available on the website and in your user account.

The company has official profiles on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and other platforms. You can try contacting the managers there, but replies are not guaranteed.

Prop firms want their partners to trade better because the more partners earn, the more firms earn as well. Detailed review of E8 Funding

The E8 Funding proprietary trading firm often takes high positions in the top ratings. On Trustpilot, for example, it has 4.9 points out of 5. TU’s experts are not the only ones who have explored the firm. There are many professional and amateur reviews. They all agree that E8 Funding has minimal restrictions and almost no weaknesses. Yes, you can only trade on Match-Trader and МТ5. Yes, client support has no call center. Yes, withdrawals are available only once in 14 days. But look at the company’s advantages. It gives you $5,000 for the minimum fee of $33 and profit splits are customizable. No other restrictions, except reasonable requirements for the daily and overall drawdowns: this way the company protects itself from serious mistakes by traders.

E8 Funding by the numbers:

  • $33 minimum initial fee;

  • $1 million maximum balance;

  • up to 5% daily drawdown;

  • up to 8% overall drawdown;

  • Up to 100% of profit goes to each trader.

E8 Funding offers an abundance of financial instruments

This is one of the firm’s conceptual benefits. Many companies focus on a particular group of instruments, mostly on Forex. Very few prop firms provide access to trading currency pairs, cryptocurrencies, stocks, indices, energies, and commodities (as contracts). This is important because a large number of trading instruments from various groups enables traders to diversify their risks more effectively. And the risks should be diversified, as partners trade large capitals of $25,000, $100,000, or $400,000 with up to 1:50 leverage. These conditions are unique in terms of potential profits and losses, so traders need reliable protection. An abundant variety of tradable instruments can facilitate that.

Useful features of E8 Funding:

  • Traders can select one of four accounts that differ in balance and trading conditions to meet their needs.

  • Challenges have one, two or three steps. Although a free restart is not always possible (it requires you to trade with profit even if it’s lower than the target), the objectives are more than achievable.

  • Funded partners only need to watch the overall and daily drawdowns. They can trade at night and at weekends, as well as use hedging and bots.

  • The platforms offer many useful plugins and can be customized easily. Also, convenient mobile versions are available.

  • During business hours, the support service responds via the live chat promptly. The chat is available on the website even to unregistered users.
