IMS Markets is a moderate-risk broker with the TU Overall Score of 5.68 out of 10. Having reviewed trading opportunities offered by the company and reviews posted by IMS Markets clients on our website, Traders Union expert Anton Kharitonov recommends users to thoroughly analyze pros and cons before opening an account with this broker as not all clients are satisfied with the company, according to reviews.

IMS Markets offers competitive trading conditions on all account types. The minimum deposit is acceptable, and fees and commissions are approximately at the level of top platforms. Trade size starts from 0.01 lots, leverage is flexible, and the MT5 platform has proven itself. Order execution is prompt. The broker provides maximum protection of funds and trader data, being a member of the Investor Compensation Fund. Multilingual technical support is prompt and qualified. However, there is a lack of transparency regarding withdrawal fees and a few other aspects. Novices won't receive education, and experienced traders won't have access to current news and analytical tools.

TU Expert Advice

Anastasiia Chabaniuk

Author, Financial Expert at Traders Union

IMS Markets, a CFD-focused platform, provides trading services on MetaTrader 5 with three live account types: Classic, Gold, and Premium. The company offers trading Forex pairs, indices, and commodities with competitive spreads starting at 0.5 pips and leverage up to 1:30 for regular traders. Its clients can start with a minimum deposit of $50, and deposit/withdrawal methods include bank transfers, Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, and Skrill. IMS Markets is regulated by CySEC, ensuring a certain degree of safety, and technical support is accessible 24/5 with multilingual service.

However, drawbacks include limited asset selection, non-transparent withdrawal fees, and the lack of educational resources and analytical tools, which may not satisfy traders seeking comprehensive strategies or training assistance. Given these limitations, IMS Markets may be more suitable for traders comfortable with its narrow focus and existing product offerings and less ideal for those who seek broader resources and instruments such as stock trading or advanced analytics tools.

The broker offers three live accounts, and since the conditions on them vary significantly, each has its minimum deposit requirement. Opening a Classic account requires depositing $50. For Gold, $500 at the start is sufficient, while the minimum deposit for Premium is $1,000. These are reasonable requirements. The flexible leverage of up to 1:30 also appears adequate. This maximum leverage is applicable for CFDs on currency pairs; for other asset types, leverage is up to 1:10. Leverage can be increased up to 1:200 by providing evidence of trading competence to the platform. Client service is available 24/5. I recently entered trading and haven't found the optimal broker for myself yet. But I'm currently trading with IMS Markets and I'm quite satisfied. Of course, the platform isn't perfect. There aren't enough assets, and there's a withdrawal fee, although many competitors have waived it. But even on the best trading advantage account, the minimum deposit is only $1,000. With my previous broker, such a deposit was required for the weakest account. I can't say that spreads and trading commissions are super low, but they don't significantly eat into profits. A leverage of up to 1:30 is ideal for me as I'm not a fan of trading with huge risks. Client support has a great team. They always help, advise, and guide with competence. Overall, I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

I initially opened a demo account, trading for about 10 days, then switched to Gold. I have no complaints about the trading process. Orders are executed quickly, with a trade size starting from 0.01 lots. I work with contracts on currency pairs and indices, although I would also like to trade stocks and cryptocurrencies. I hope the broker will add them soon because it's obvious that they're not standing still, they're constantly evolving. I confirmed that the broker is regulated by CySEC. Deposits and withdrawals are prompt, within a few hours. However, I only use bank cards, other methods may take longer. There's a withdrawal commission, but it's not excessive.
The lack of copy trading or joint accounts is a big disappointment. Being a signal provider or manager could provide me with additional income. And there are no analytical tools, not even basic economic calendars, and trading calculators, it's not serious at all. Luckily, everything necessary can easily be found on third-party

I was looking for a broker that wouldn't suffocate me with fees. IMS Markets was recommended to me by an acquaintance. I immediately registered for Premium, it's the most balanced account. The average spread is 0.5 pips, I've seen it lower, around 0.1-0.2 pips. Of course, for most assets, the spread is several times higher, especially for indices. And yet, it turns out to be profitable, even with the $4 commission per lot. Most platforms charge $10-20; I've even seen $50. MetaTrader 5 trading platform is the right choice. Many people like the fourth iteration of this solution, R Trader and CTrader, but they clearly lag in terms of capabilities and functionality. I use different trading strategies, mostly intraday. The company doesn't impose any restrictions, everything is allowed. I have increased leverage, up to a maximum of 1:100. To get it, I went through a simple verification process by the company's specialists. For anyone aiming for comfortable trading, I recommend IMS Markets. Everything here is done professionally and with its client in mind.

Account types

The first task is to choose the optimal account type. IMS Markets offers three types of accounts, differing in key parameters such as minimum deposit, spreads, and trading commissions. The minimum deposit on the Classic account is only $50 or its equivalent. However, it has the highest average spread of 2 pips. The commission is $5 per lot, which is a reasonable figure. Gold offers reduced spreads, on average, 0.5 pips, but the commission of $8 per lot is higher. The minimum deposit requirement is also increased to $500. The largest initial deposit is on the Premium account which is a minimum of $1,000. The spreads are approximately the same as on Gold, with a commission of $4 per lot. It's evident that when choosing, the trader needs to consider their trading priorities and ambitions. There is only one MT5 trading platform offered, and the only task is to customize it to one's preferences. It's also important to choose the most suitable leverage size for the preferred trading strategy.

Account types:

Account Type
Description
Demo
Demo accounts are free. Traders work using real market quotes, but the money is virtual.
Classic
Minimum deposit is $50. There are floating spreads, averaging 2 pips, and a trading commission of $5 per lot. Many financial instruments are present, and the account offers flexible leverage.
Gold
Deposit is $500. The average spread is 0.5 pips, and the commission is $8 per full lot. The minimum trade size is 0.01 lots, and all methods and strategies are allowed.
Premium
Deposit is $1,000. Spreads for most currency pairs are around 0.5 pips, and the trading commission is $4 per lot. Over 60 assets are available, as well as a personal client manager.

Most traders start by opening a demo account. This is logical, as it allows testing the broker in action while simultaneously testing one's trading strategies. Beginners can engage in practical self-education without risking real funds. Then the user opens a Classic, Gold, or Premium account and starts making full-fledged trades.

Not all traders come to brokers well-prepared. That's why some platforms provide a small knowledge base to give beginners a chance at successful trading. Some even create educational programs and conduct webinars. IMS Markets, on the other hand, only offers a selection of articles.
