Brief Look at SkyFx.com
SkyFx.com, a company founded in 2011 and registered in Cyprus, operated under a CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission) license until its revocation in 2016. The broker offered trading in various assets, including currencies, indices, bonds, commodities, metals, and energies, along with managed accounts (MAM) for investment. Two trading platforms were available: MetaTrader 4 and ZuluTrade.
Initially, the company's operations were free of significant complaints. However, the situation deteriorated over time, with reports of frozen withdrawal requests and subsequent demands to increase deposits to enable withdrawals. Eventually, the company stopped paying out funds altogether and, after operating for approximately another year, closed down.
In January 2016, a series of articles in the Israeli press suggested that Aviv Talmor, allegedly linked to SkyFx.com, was under investigation for operating a Ponzi scheme. Such schemes resemble financial pyramids, where existing investors are paid with funds from new investors. This investigation further tarnished the reputation of SkyFx.com.
