Forex trading brand Ontega was operated by Green Pole Ltd., which was regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission. However, the Vanuatu Commission revoked license number 14627 due to numerous complaints from traders using Ontega's accounts and platforms for trading derivative financial instruments.
Ontega did not offer the industry-standard MetaTrader trading platforms but instead provided proprietary software for mobile and web-based trading. The performance of these platforms was a primary source of complaints from traders. Many clients alleged that the platforms operated on a predetermined algorithm that simulated trading, leading to significant losses.
The Ontega website remains active but is inaccessible for new registrations, and customer support is unresponsive. A large number of traders accuse the broker of embezzlement, fraudulent practices, and deception for personal funds.
