TU Expert Verdict
Chief Analytics Officer
Superhero provides a digital platform for trading over 7,000 Australian and U.S. stocks and ETFs, supporting web and mobile access. It operates under an ASIC license, collaborates with Apex Clearing Corporation LLC for U.S. brokerage services, and participates in the SIPC protection scheme for eligible U.S. securities. Clients can open various account types including Individual, Minor, Company, Trust, and SMSF accounts with a minimum deposit of AUD 10. Trading is offered with flat low commissions, fractional U.S. stock trading, and access to both market and limit orders, though no leverage is available.
Drawbacks include conversion fees from AUD to USD when trading U.S. stocks, a lack of leverage for traders seeking margin trading, and limited educational resources. Superhero is not a member of Australia’s investor compensation scheme. This broker may suit fee-sensitive investors interested in Australian and U.S. equities, but it may not be suitable for active traders who prioritize leverage or advanced research tools.
