KuCoin has introduced a Crypto Loan feature allowing users to borrow digital assets by pledging eligible cryptocurrencies as collateral, with the option for collateral to continue earning yield during the loan period.

KuCoin has launched the Crypto Loan feature in its app, which enables users to borrow assets such as BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, and SOL by pledging eligible cryptocurrencies as collateral. According to the broker, collateral can continue to accumulate 'Hold to Earn' yield if this option is enabled before initiating the loan, and both collateral and borrowed positions are managed in real time within a single interface.

Additional details state that the service includes a dynamic, market-driven borrowing rate updated hourly, as well as a three-tiered loan-to-value (LTV) risk management framework. If a user’s LTV reaches the liquidation threshold, part of the collateral can be sold automatically to repay the loan, with fees applying. The feature is currently available on the KuCoin App with a web version planned, and the broker highlights possible risks such as price fluctuations, market risk, and liquidation.

How to use the Crypto Loan feature

To participate in KuCoin's Crypto Loan feature, open the KuCoin App and complete KYC verification. Optionally, enable 'Hold to Earn' for your selected collateral asset if you wish to earn yield during the loan period. Navigate through the app's homepage to More → Finance → Crypto Loan, then choose your collateral and borrowing asset (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, or SOL). Enter the required amounts, confirm the details, and proceed to take out your loan. You can get started via the official sign-up link.
