Hyliion announces start of 800 kilowatt multi fuel KARNO system after UL certification
Hyliion unveils Q1 KARNO progress

Hyliion released its first quarter financial results, reporting the completion of UL certification testing and a demonstration of multi fuel switching with its KARNO technology.

The company has also started building an 800 kilowatt KARNO system, signaling ongoing progress in its fuel agnostic linear generator development. These milestones follow Hyliion commitment to advancing clean power solutions for commercial transportation.

Earlier this year, Hyliion completed a demonstration in which its KARNO reactor ran seamlessly through natural gas, hydrogen, diesel, and back to natural gas without hardware changes, according to a company announcement. The firm also recently called for final votes as its KARNO Power Module competed for the CSE 2026 Product of the Year award ahead of an April 30 deadline. These developments come as Hyliion continues to advance its fuel-flexible technology for commercial applications.
