Virgin Galactic completes Unity glide

Virgin Galactic announced that VSS Unity has completed a successful glide flight at Spaceport America. The flight featured pilots Michael Masucci and Dan Alix at the controls of VSS Unity, while Nicola Pecile and Jameel Janjua piloted the VMS Eve mothership.

The test marks another step in the company’s suborbital flight program. Glide flights are a critical phase in validating vehicle performance ahead of future commercial missions.

Virgin Galactic recently completed assembly of its first SpaceShip and began ground testing, with an initial timeline targeting flight tests within the third quarter. The company then moved its next-generation SpaceShip to the test hangar for final integration and further checks. Each phase is part of Virgin Galactic's process to prepare for commercial suborbital missions.
