AI adoption in the supply chain sector is surpassing other business functions, according to Logility Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. The company notes that 44 percent of firms are now deploying AI in supply chain operations, ahead of adoption rates in finance, human resources, and procurement.
Far from simply automating routine tasks, AI agents are helping companies overcome longstanding tradeoffs that have limited supply chain performance. This leadership in AI implementation suggests a growing reliance on intelligent automation to achieve competitive advantages in logistics and operations.
Earlier this year, Logility released its Orchestration Center, a tool designed to accelerate supply chain actions and reduce process delays according to the company. More recently, Logility reported that 65 percent of supply chain professionals are making AI and GenAI mandatory in technology adoption based on company findings. These developments reflect continued momentum for AI-driven solutions in the sector.
