Intuitive Machines lands NASA contract

Intuitive Machines has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract from NASA worth up to 148.3 million to deliver a production-line-qualified Nova-C lunar lander by 2028.

The agreement requires Intuitive Machines to scale its manufacturing processes to support high-volume production, aiming to enable reliable and repeatable lunar deliveries for NASA's Moon Base initiative. This deal solidifies Intuitive Machines' role as a key provider in the U.S. lunar exploration program, advancing commercial capabilities for future Moon missions.

Earlier this year, Intuitive Machines began integration of its IM-3 Nova-C lander after completing top deck installation, moving the spacecraft into the testing phase ahead of its next mission integration milestone. The company also secured a $1 million Maryland grant to expand its lunar robotics operations and establish a new Center of Excellence grant award. These initiatives support Intuitive Machines' efforts to scale up for NASA’s Moon Base program.
