AEIS is trading well below its key moving averages, with the current price of $273.33 sitting under the MA-20 ($305.61), MA-50 ($321.88), and MA-200 ($285.37), confirming sustained short-, medium-, and long-term bearish trends. The Ichimoku Kijun at $326.30 is labeled as immediate resistance, while near-term support lies at MA-200 ($285.37) and key support is at MA-100 ($334.26); immediate resistance is set by the Ichimoku Kijun ($326.30) and key resistance by MA-50 ($321.88).
MACD on D1 signals a strong bearish momentum, and ADX reads as neutral, showing weak directional conviction in the current downtrend. Multiple oversold signals dominate: RSI on D1 is at 38.01, Stoch RSI and CCI are both in deep oversold territory, and BBP confirms strong seller dominance. AO remains neutral and does not reinforce either trend. AEIS has fallen $31.00 (10.19%) from the previous week's close of $304.33, placing it at the very bottom of this week’s range as volatility hit 15.46%. In today’s session, the stock remains heavy after a sharp 6.36% slide, and the weekly tone reflects a steady decline from this month’s highs.
Looking ahead, the expected price range for AEIS over the next week is $262.00 to $283.00, reflecting contained volatility and sitting well above the 52-week low of $128.40 but far beneath the $397.44 high. The probability of an upward move is very low (less than 20%) given only the MA-50 on W1 is bullish, while the probability of continued downside is much more likely. In the baseline scenario, AEIS remains in a congested corridor between $262.00 and $283.00. A bullish scenario would require a breakout above $285.00, opening a path toward $300.00, but this is unlikely under current technicals. In a bearish scenario, a sustained break below $262.00 risks accelerating declines toward the low $250s, with momentum and trend signals suggesting downward bias will persist.
Previously it was reported that Advanced Energy was experiencing sustained technical selling pressure within a broader downtrend. This article further examines the evolving outlook for the stock, with the prevailing scenario hinging on how shares react to key support levels in the sessions ahead.
