Energy Vault in 1.25 GW AI deal

Energy Vault has announced a strategic agreement to deploy 1.25 gigawatts of integrated power infrastructure for a hyperscaler AI data center, with leading power generation EPC and the use of Caterpillar gensets.

The initial 1.25 GW phase is already backed by a customer contract, signaling a substantial commitment to expanding reliable power capacity in support of advanced artificial intelligence operations. The initiative targets robust power support required for hyperscale data processing, reflecting growing energy demands from next-generation technology deployments.

Earlier this year, Energy Vault began construction on a powered AI campus in Texas to deploy Crusoe Spark modular data centers with 8 MW capacity, according to previous disclosures. The Texas project marked the company’s initial step into supporting AI-focused infrastructure. The latest agreement builds on this experience with a significantly larger scale.
