Shares of Datadog opened the session with a gap higher from $247.48 to $251.61. The price is holding above its MA-20, MA-50, and MA-200, keeping the daily chart structure bullish. The nearest support is the prior weekly high at $249.91. Stoch RSI is in overbought territory, which limits the room for further upside.
To confirm that traders are embracing the move, a close above the recent range would be important. After opening the day with a sharp gap from $247.48 up to $251.61, price action showed clear early buying interest. The recent move has been a sharp advance over the past week without developing into a sustained trend; even so, over the next five trading days, upside probability stands at 76% with downside at 24%, and the expected range is $242.13 to $262.78. A drop below $249.91 would indicate that the move is being rejected. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays firmly constructive.
Previously it was reported that Datadog’s shares were consolidating below technical resistance amid mixed momentum signals and a need for confirmation of further upside. The current technical setup, following the introduction of Tap to Parse and a strong gap higher, puts focus on whether price can sustain above $249.91, which would reinforce the bullish daily trend and define the next tradable range.
