Gateway adopts ICE technology

Gateway Mortgage is expanding its servicing infrastructure as it scales its mortgage business and seeks tighter operational control. The lender is adopting Intercontinental Exchange technology to consolidate core servicing, customer engagement and analytics functions on a single platform.

Highlights

  • Gateway Mortgage will implement ICE's MSP servicing system to streamline early and late-stage mortgage servicing and support expansion efforts.
  • Gateway's rollout includes ICE Servicing Digital, ICE Customer Service, and ICE Business Intelligence, enhancing borrower digital access, call center functions, and portfolio analytics.
  • ICE's MSP platform provides integrated loan lifecycle management, improving operational efficiency, compliance, risk management, and homeowner experience at scale for Gateway.

Servicing technology rollout and platform scope

As reported by Intercontinental Exchange, Gateway Mortgage, a division of Gateway First Bank, has signed an agreement to implement MSP, ICE's mortgage servicing system, to support its mortgage servicing operations.

The company says the platform is intended to improve efficiency across early and late-stage servicing, strengthen compliance and support customer experience as Gateway grows its mortgage business. By moving core servicing functions onto one platform, Gateway aims to reduce risk, simplify operational complexity and create a more consistent experience for homeowners.

Gateway also plans to adopt ICE Servicing Digital, ICE Customer Service and ICE Business Intelligence as part of the rollout. Those tools include a web and app portal for borrowers, call center capabilities that combine borrower data and interaction history, and analytics and reporting functions such as automated reporting, interactive portfolio dashboards and loan-level operational oversight.

Operational impact for mortgage servicing

Gateway Chief Operating Officer Earl Dunham says the lender is selecting technology that supports growth while preserving the personal service and community relationships its customers expect. ICE President of Mortgage Technology Bob Hart says servicers are using the company's systems to scale complex operations while maintaining service standards and compliance controls.

ICE says MSP supports the full servicing lifecycle, from loan boarding through payoff or default resolution, with integrated functions for loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy and invoicing. The platform is designed to give servicers greater visibility, controls and flexibility as they manage regulatory requirements and borrower experience at scale.

Our earlier article on the KPMG survey of U.S. CEOs showed that AI agents are delivering incremental efficiency and growth gains, but only a small share of leaders view them as truly transformational so far. It also highlighted that companies expect continued investment in AI infrastructure and skills—often alongside hiring and retraining—because realizing bigger benefits typically requires process redesign, stronger data readiness, and clearer oversight.
