Can Ethereum break $1,950 as ETF inflows return?
A range breakout could trigger sharp volatility.

Ethereum remains range-bound despite continued inflows into U.S. spot ETFs. A breakout from the $1,850–1,950 range will determine the short-term price direction and could trigger a sharp increase in volatility.

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded net inflows of $60.8 million on August 5, according to SoSoValue.

Despite the return of positive flows, ETH has yet to develop a decisive directional impulse. The asset continues to consolidate, while the absence of a strong cryptocurrency-specific catalyst is limiting the short-term impact of institutional demand.

Ethereum’s next move depends on a range breakout

ETH continues to trade within the $1,850–1,950 range, as noted previously. A decisive breakout and sustained move beyond either boundary will determine the short-term direction of the price.

A clear break above $1,950 could trigger a rally toward the psychological resistance level near $2,000. A move beyond this threshold could force short sellers to close their positions and accelerate the advance toward $2,100.

However, a sustained decline below $1,850 would significantly increase selling pressure and open the way toward $1,700.

Aggressive accumulation remains risky without a confirmed bottom

The ongoing consolidation may create opportunities for more aggressive ETH accumulation, particularly as positive flows return to spot ETFs. However, the current area cannot yet be confidently identified as the final bottom.

Until the price breaks out of the $1,850–1,950 range, the risk of another downward impulse remains. Any more aggressive accumulation strategy should therefore account for the possibility of further downside.
