DoubleZero launches Hyperliquid market data feed for institutional crypto trading
As professional trading activity on decentralized markets expands, infrastructure providers are adding lower-latency tools that mirror services long used in traditional finance. DoubleZero has launched a dedicated fiber-based market data feed for Hyperliquid, giving trading firms access to the exchange's full order book beyond its public APIs.
Highlights
- DoubleZero's new fiber feed delivers continuous, ordered Hyperliquid market data for institutional clients needing faster, more consistent order book updates.
- Public API changes have reduced breadth and frequency of Hyperliquid updates, prompting institutional firms to seek improved market data access via DoubleZero.
- Hyperliquid's data distribution now mirrors traditional exchanges like CME and Nasdaq, but trade execution remains onchain and physical location still impacts latency.
Fiber feed expands Hyperliquid data access
As reported by Cointelegraph, DoubleZero says the new service provides a continuous, ordered stream of Hyperliquid market data for market makers, quantitative trading firms and proprietary trading firms that need faster and more consistent order book updates. The feed covers Hyperliquid's native perpetual futures as well as markets run by trade[XYZ], which uses Hyperliquid's infrastructure to offer perpetual contracts tied to assets including oil, gold and silver. The company says firms previously had to piece together a full view of Hyperliquid's order book through public API responses or by operating their own Hyperliquid nodes. DoubleZero adds that changes to Hyperliquid's public APIs have reduced the frequency and depth of updates available through those channels.
DoubleZero operates a global fiber network built to move data between participants in blockchain networks and other distributed systems. Hyperliquid becomes the third venue available through its Edge market-data service, after Solana and prediction market Kalshi.
Onchain trading infrastructure moves closer to exchange standards
Hyperion DeFi Chief Executive Hyunsu Jung says Hyperliquid's market-data setup is starting to resemble the infrastructure used by traditional electronic exchanges as more professional trading activity moves onchain. He says CME, Nasdaq and other major exchanges distribute professional market data over dedicated networks so automated trading firms receive consistent, ordered data at high speed.Jung says Hyperliquid data can now be consumed through a similar model, with data published once and distributed simultaneously over dedicated fiber. He adds that the shift does not make Hyperliquid equivalent to CME because trade execution still occurs onchain, while DoubleZero's service only delivers market data and does not place or execute trades for firms.
Latency differences also remain, Jung says, because physical location still affects speed advantages. A firm in Tokyo, for example, still holds a physical advantage over one in New York.
