Cardano founder responds to $600M allegations with audit report
Hoskinson plans live stream and website for ADA audit findings

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has denied allegations of ADA misuse and promised to present a public audit to the community.

The controversy erupted after a community member claimed that Cardano’s development firm Input Output Global (IOG) and Hoskinson used the “genesis key” to alter the Cardano ledger and gain control of funds during the Allegra hard fork in 2021 — involving as much as $600 million in ADA.

Hoskinson announced his intention to release a public audit and now says he has received the first version of the report.

“I just received the initial version of the audit report. I’ve requested additional details and context on several items, but everything is coming together quickly. I believe we’re on track to publish it in mid-August, assuming there are no delays,” he wrote on his X profile.

To avoid speculation or manipulation, Hoskinson plans to present the audit in a live stream and launch a dedicated website to host all related documents.

The trial is being prepared

According to Coindoo, the matter could escalate into legal action. Hoskinson confirmed he is consulting a defamation law firm to explore responses to the public accusations.
