XRP price prediction: Can new Ripple deals trigger rebound above $1.42?
XRP is gaining fresh fundamental catalysts, but the market has yet to reverse the recent correction. The gap between ecosystem progress and price action is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
Ripple has announced a strategic partnership with Meritz Securities, one of South Korea’s major brokerage firms. The two companies will explore the use of Ripple Custody and tokenization infrastructure across Korean capital markets. It marks Ripple’s first agreement with a local securities firm.
For Ripple, this is already its fourth institutional partnership in South Korea this year. The company is also working with Kbank, Jeonbuk Bank and Kyobo Life Insurance, gradually expanding its presence beyond payments and custody into capital-markets tokenization.
Ripple has also teamed up with Privy, the Stripe-owned wallet infrastructure company, to integrate the XRP Ledger. Developers will be able to create XRPL wallets directly inside their applications and support transactions involving XRP, RLUSD and other assets issued on the network.

XRP risks another leg lower while $1.381 caps the rebound
The scenario outlined in the previous analysis has now played out in full. XRP fell to the $1.381 target, then extended the decline and briefly tested $1.311.
The role of $1.381 has now flipped, turning it into the main resistance level for the recovery attempt. If buyers can reclaim it and establish a sustained hold above, selling pressure would begin to ease and the 50-day SMA near $1.425 would become the next target.
Until that happens, the technical structure remains weak. As long as XRP stays below $1.381, the base case for the next several sessions is another move lower toward the 200-day SMA around $1.282.
The reaction there could prove decisive. A strong response from buyers would increase the chances that the recent correction is entering a stabilization phase, while another breakdown would point to a deeper structural reset.
CPI could make XRP’s next breakout unusually volatile
September U.S. CPI is due on October 14, and for XRP the key issue will be not only the inflation reading itself but also the reaction in the dollar and Treasury yields.
The market is already unsettled after the recent selloff, which raises the risk of a sharp first move after the data, including false breaks in either direction. For short-term traders, waiting for confirmation may be more important than trying to anticipate the initial reaction.
