Highlights

  • ALGO/USD trades below key short- and medium-term moving averages, showing sustained bearish pressure in the near term.
  • Momentum signals are negative across multiple indicators, with oversold readings and sellers controlling intraday direction.
  • ALGO/USD is projected to trade between $0.1063 to $0.1203 over the next 2 to 3 days, with downside risk dominating unless price clears $0.1162.

Oversold momentum confirmed as price stalls at resistance

On the hourly chart, ALGO is trading below the MA-20 ($0.1142) and MA-50 ($0.1156), while on the daily timeframe it stays above the MA-200 ($0.1007). The Ichimoku Kijun at $0.1162 offers immediate resistance. The momentum backdrop is decisively negative, with MACD and Awesome Oscillator both in bearish territory and ADX indicating neutral trend strength. RSI stands at 31.88, deep in oversold conditions, and both CCI and Stochastic RSI signal extended downside exhaustion. Intraday momentum remains dominated by sellers, as reflected in recent Bear/Bull Power readings and a close pinned to session lows.

Further downside risk persists as reversal odds remain low

Looking ahead 2–3 trading days, the projected price range for ALGO/USD is $0.1063 to $0.1203, based on recent volatility. The probability of a further decline remains very high, and the likelihood of a near-term upside reversal is low. Baseline expectations are for continued range trading within these bounds, unless the price breaks above the $0.1162 resistance, which would signal a bullish shift, or slips below $0.1063, confirming an extension of the current downtrend.

Viktoras Karapetjanc, Traders Union expert, sees the current ALGO price action as technically driven and dominated by bearish sentiment. The absence of fresh fundamental or macro developments means market mood remains the main driver. Although conditions are oversold, sellers still have control and an immediate upside reversal appears unlikely. However, the expert maintains a constructive outlook for resilient assets in the broader digital sphere. "Should ALGO reclaim $0.1162, I expect renewed buyer interest and a potential shift in short-term momentum," Karapetjanc says.

Earlier, analysts noted that Algorand was experiencing mixed technical momentum and organizational developments, leaving its directional outlook uncertain. The current confirmation of downside control and deep oversold readings suggests traders should monitor for either a decisive break below $0.1063 to validate ongoing weakness or a potential volatility-driven rebound if short covering emerges at these levels.
