AIsa completes seed extension with Tether, HIVEN as strategic investors
AIsa adds Tether, HIVEN

San Francisco-based AIsa has expanded its seed financing by bringing in Tether and HIVEN as strategic investors, taking total funding to more than $9 million. The raise adds two crypto-linked backers to a cap table that already includes Alibaba, Tribe Capital, Sumitomo Corporation, Draper Associates and Saison Capital.

Highlights

  • AIsa completed its seed extension round, raising total funding to over $9 million, with Tether and HIVEN joining as strategic investors.
  • The funding will support AIsa's Trusted Resource and Transaction Network for Enterprise AI Agents, aiming to unify resource discovery, access, and transactions under enterprise control.
  • Tether's investment aligns with its broader strategy to expand into tech infrastructure, following a Q2 net operating profit of $1.5 billion mainly from U.S. Treasury interest and repo agreements.

Funding round supports enterprise AI agent network

As reported by Cointelegraph, AIsa said it has completed its seed extension round with Tether and HIVEN joining as strategic investors. The company said the financing lifts its total funding to more than $9 million and strengthens support for its infrastructure aimed at enterprise AI agents.

In a Friday statement, founder and CEO Jordan Liu said enterprise AI agents need trusted information, useful tools and a governed way to transact. He said AIsa is building infrastructure that allows agents to discover, access and pay for resources globally while giving enterprises control over permissions, spending and transactions.

AIsa said fragmented providers, integrations and billing systems make it harder for enterprise AI agents to operate effectively in production and to scale. Its Trusted Resource and Transaction Network for Enterprise AI Agents is designed to combine resource discovery, access and transactions in one governed, usage-based network linking agents with external data, AI search, models, APIs, software tools and industry services.

Crypto capital adds sector relevance

Tether's participation ties the funding round to a broader push by crypto firms into adjacent technology infrastructure, particularly where payments, settlement and automation intersect. For AIsa, the addition of strategic investors from digital assets could support its effort to build governed transaction rails for autonomous enterprise tools.

Cointelegraph reported on July 31 that stablecoin issuer Tether generated another multibillion-dollar quarter as income from its U.S. Treasury portfolio continued to bolster earnings. Tether reported net operating profit of $1.5 billion for the second quarter, driven primarily by interest earned on U.S. Treasury holdings and repurchase agreements, or short-term loans backed by government securities.

In our earlier article, we covered ByteDance’s move to set up an Alignment & Preparedness team within its Seed research unit as scrutiny of autonomous AI systems intensifies. The company outlined plans to hire researchers and allocate significant compute and research resources to automated testing, monitoring, and emerging-risk preparedness—signaling that safety and oversight are becoming prerequisites for scaling agentic AI into real-world use.
