Issuer objections reshape launch lineup
As first reported by CoinDesk, Apple, Meta Platforms and Palantir are among the latest companies objecting to OKXICE's tokenized stock trading plans, pushing the total number of disclosed objections to 67. The latest additions in Thursday's public notice also include S&P Global, KLA and Super Micro Computer, while Apple, Home Depot, GE Vernova, Nebius, Boeing and ServiceNow appeared earlier in the week. That leaves Strategy, Coinbase, Circle and Robinhood absent from the objection list dated Thursday, Nov. 5. Securitize and BitGo also remain without a disclosed objection after previously saying they did not plan to object, leaving the shrinking group concentrated in companies already linked to the crypto sector.
OKXICE initially selected 62 companies spanning large technology groups, banks, retailers and industrial businesses. According to a CoinDesk tally, 56 of those issuers, about 90%, have objected, significantly narrowing the possible starting universe for the venue.
Our earlier analysis of the Nasdaq 100 (NDX) highlighted a sharp decline as strong SpaceX quarterly results failed to spark sustained buying in tech. We noted the index remained under persistent selling pressure below its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, with attention shifting to upcoming earnings from major constituents such as Tesla and Meta and key support levels guiding the near-term outlook.
