TRON DAO announces collaboration with Ivy League blockchain clubs
TRON DAO expands its activities at Columbia and Harvard universities through TRON Academy

The decentralized autonomous organization TRON DAO, founded by Justin Sun, is expanding its partnerships with leading universities in the U.S. and Europe. The newest partners include the blockchain clubs of Columbia University and Harvard University.

To collaborate with universities, Justin Sun’s organization launched TRON Academy, which already partners with blockchain clubs from seven U.S. universities — including Cornell University (Cornell Blockchain), University of California, Irvine (Blockchain at UCI), University of Texas at Austin (Texas Blockchain), Boston University (Boston Hacks), Princeton University (Princeton Blockchain Club), and others.

“Education is one of the most powerful tools for driving real-world blockchain adoption. By supporting student talent and academic research, we’re laying the foundation for a decentralized future where innovation and accessibility go hand in hand,” said Sam Ellfarra, a representative of the TRON DAO community.

Coaching, mentorship, and hackathons

The collaboration with TRON Academy goes beyond sponsorship — it includes mentorship, hackathons, new club launches, and access to development resources.

Among the recent activities was a UT Austin campus workshop, where students built their first smart contract on the TRON network. TRON Academy has also supported student research papers on the environmental impact of blockchains.

Justin Sun’s organization promises ongoing support for student projects through mentorship, funding connections for seed rounds, internships, and recruitment within the TRON ecosystem. However, no major developments of this kind have yet been announced.

As for the new partnerships with Columbia University and Harvard, TRON Academy will support blockchain club initiatives such as educational workshops, student blockchain development projects, and attendance at major international conferences — helping students explore real-world blockchain applications and connect with industry leaders.
