  • Momentum indicators signal a buy, but overbought readings raise the risk of a near-term pullback.

Technical buy signals confirmed as price nears key resistance

On the technical side, EUR/EGP is trading above the MA-20 and MA-50 on the hourly chart, but remains below the MA-200 on the daily timeframe. The Ichimoku Kijun level at EGP58.8302 serves as immediate support. Indicator readings include Buy signals from both MACD and ADX, an RSI of 62.06 (Buy), and overbought conditions in both the Stoch RSI and CCI. Bull/Bear Power favors buyers, and the Awesome Oscillator also supports the current intraday uptrend.

Bullish breakout likely as volatility band constrains downside

For the next 2–3 trading days, EUR/EGP is expected to remain within a volatility band between EGP58.7206 and EGP59.3108. The probability of an upward move is very high, with a low likelihood of a downward scenario. The baseline case is price consolidation within this range, while a breakout above resistance would confirm further bullish momentum and a drop below immediate support could trigger a corrective pullback.

Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, notes that EUR/EGP is demonstrating strength above key short- and medium-term moving averages, signaling buyer control in the current session. He sees strong technical momentum, with buy signals across most indicators and bullish sentiment dominating. The analyst remains positive on the pair’s outlook, expecting price consolidation within the EGP58.7206–EGP59.3108 range, while acknowledging a high probability of an upward breakout. "With momentum and sentiment on the bulls’ side, I expect any breakout above resistance to be decisive for further gains," Karapetjanc says.

Earlier, analysts noted that EUR/EGP was under persistent bearish pressure driven by technical weakness beneath long-term moving averages. The current analysis adds a new dimension by highlighting a potential upside bias in the near term, with price action above short- and medium-term moving averages warranting close attention to the EGP58.8302 support as a trigger for any reversal.
