Jersey Mike’s shares seen rising after IPO on Loop Capital buy initiation
Jersey Mike’s IPO rally

Fresh coverage from Wall Street is adding momentum to Jersey Mike’s shortly after the sandwich chain’s New York Stock Exchange debut. Loop Capital starts coverage with a buy rating and a $40 price target, implying nearly 70% upside from Friday’s close.

Highlights

  • Loop Capital initiates Jersey Mike’s coverage with a buy rating after its $23 IPO, noting shares are up 14% since debut.
  • Analyst Alton Stump highlights Jersey Mike’s unique made-to-order, in-view slicing model as a scalable barrier that competitors cannot easily replicate.
  • Jersey Mike’s achieved 6% average annual comparable sales growth over 20 years, accelerating to 8.5% CAGR from 2020–2025, aided by a plan to allocate 20% of advertising spend to digital channels.

Analyst call highlights growth drivers

As reported by CNBC, Loop Capital says Jersey Mike’s stands out in the restaurant sector because it slices meats to order in full view of customers, a model the firm describes as difficult for rivals to replicate at scale.

The investment bank initiates coverage with a buy rating and says the chain’s recent IPO creates an opportunity for investors. Jersey Mike’s prices its offering at $23 a share and begins trading on the New York Stock Exchange in late July. The New Jersey-based company is up 14% since then, through Friday. Loop Capital was a co-manager on the IPO.

Analyst Alton Stump says the company’s made-to-order process is its strongest attribute and remains central to its success. He says no other chain matches that approach on a regional or national basis because of the operational difficulty of keeping service lines moving while slicing to order during busy periods.

Digital marketing push supports outlook

Loop Capital says Jersey Mike’s has delivered average annual comparable sales growth of 6% over the past 20 years, with that pace accelerating to a compound annual growth rate of about 8.5% from 2020 to 2025.

The firm says growth is likely to continue building as the company expands digital marketing efforts. Jersey Mike’s is already planning to direct 20% of its advertising spending to digital channels over the next 12 to 18 months, according to Stump.

Stump adds that franchisee contacts are confident the company’s comparable sales growth will benefit in coming quarters and years from having a digital marketing strategy in place, something he says was not the case before earlier this year.

In our earlier roundup of Wall Street analyst actions across sectors, we noted a wave of fresh rating changes and new coverage initiations, including a positive start of coverage on Jersey Mike’s. That piece also framed how broader themes like AI-driven infrastructure demand were influencing earnings expectations and valuation targets, while consumer and restaurant calls leaned more on company-specific execution and traffic resilience.
