Bitcoin rally may precede financial crisis

Michael van de Poppe, industry influencer, believes that a major financial crisis is looming but anticipates a delay before it begins.

He expects a lengthy bull run in Bitcoin in 2027 and 2028, which he suggests will mark the end of a broad risk-on period. According to van de Poppe, the peak for Bitcoin during this period may signal the onset of the anticipated crisis.

Van de Poppe has commented previously on technical signals in major cryptocurrencies. Earlier this month, he highlighted analysis from CryptoSqueeze suggesting that ETH was nearing a breakout above the €2,070 resistance. In a separate note, rising expenses during King's Day in the Netherlands were attributed in part to increased use of the OKX card for cashback deals.
