Stephanie Link: Strong quarterly beat for ROK with discrete and hybrid growth
Stephanie Link, managing director / portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors, highlights a strong beat and raised outlook for ROK. Discrete segment grew by mid-teens, hybrid saw high single-digit gains, and process delivered mid single-digit growth. Organization-wide growth doubled expectations at 9%, and operating margin beat estimates by 225 basis points, up 350 basis points year over year. Key annual recurring revenue rose 6%, and software achieved high single-digit growth, indicating a less cyclical profile ahead.
Link has previously tracked notable earnings performance across sectors. She noted that EL reported 40 percent EPS growth and gross margin expansion alongside $1 billion in Asia Pacific sales. In another update, she highlighted that Power's AI segment posted double-digit growth with a $48.5 billion backlog up 37% year over year.
