Trump DOJ PayPal settlement for veterans

Nick Sortor reports that the Department of Justice under U.S. President Donald Trump has reached a $30 million settlement with PayPal to end its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program.

According to Sortor, PayPal has agreed to direct the settlement amount toward veteran-owned businesses as well as farming, manufacturing, and technology companies that are certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Sortor previously reported that the S&P 500 index reached a record high by surpassing 7,000 points. In a separate update, Mario Nawfal covered the arrest of a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier for alleged $400,000 insider trading tied to a Venezuela operation. These events come as regulatory and legal issues continue to shape the finance and technology sectors.
