U.S. 30-year yield approaches 19-year high

Andreas Steno Larsen, founder & CEO, reports that the U.S. 30-year yield has risen to 5.03 percent.

He notes this level has only been surpassed for a few days over the last 19 years and is now just 8 basis points away from reaching a new 19-year high.

Steno Larsen previously noted that the U.S. 30-year yield touched 5 percent in July 2025, marking its highest level in nearly 18 years at that time, according to his earlier report. He has also compared the U.S. 10-year yield with June WTI crude oil futures in a recent chart analysis. These observations provide context for the recent move toward a 19-year high in long-term yields.
