New Orleans home prices fall 11.9 percent

Lance Lambert reports that home prices in the New Orleans metro area have declined by 11.9 percent since reaching their peak in 2022.

According to Lambert, the price drop followed the end of the Pandemic Housing Boom.

Lambert previously reported that Florida homebuilders such as PulteGroup saw stabilization and 18% sales growth during Q1 2026 earnings. Florida recently ended 13 consecutive months of year-over-year declines in single-family home prices, according to the latest Freddie Mac House Price Index. The trends highlight regional variation in the housing market following the pandemic era.
