Ryan Detrick: S&P 500 has never peaked in June, current trend not expected to break record
S&P 500 history favors post-June peaks

Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist at Carson Group, points out that the S&P 500 has never reached its annual peak during the month of June.

Detrick notes that despite the most recent all-time high being set on June 2, history suggests it is unlikely that June will end as the peak month for the year.

Earlier this month, Detrick reported that a proprietary economic index is signaling rapid U.S. economic improvement, reducing the likelihood of a near-term recession, according to the Carson Group. He also noted that small-cap stocks are now outperforming the Mag 7, as market breadth has expanded. These updates follow the recent S&P 500 record set in June.
